(Travel) Brooklyn Bridge

Today we met up with Brandon. Brandon is the kid that I used to babysit when I was thirteen. Now he is twenty-seven and working in the Big Apple. We asked him to walk the Brooklyn Bridge with us. The weather today is gorgeous! After we crossed the bridge he took us to an outdoor food market. Each booth sells one unique item. We had a lobster roll, pork buns, seasoned fries, popsicles, shaved ice and an amazing icecream sandwich. Joaquin's shaved ice was freshly shaved from a block of ice and a red plum and lemongrass syrup poured over the top. We were suffering a serious food coma, so we took an hour rest in the park that lines the waterfront. Lots of people watching ensued while the boys rested. From our viewpoint we could clearly see the Statue of Liberty, lots boats and helicopters circling the waterfront. We headed back to our hotel via the subway and are resting our legs. Tonight we have a harbor cruise planned.
