Unfortunately, Marco wasn't able to join us on this excursion. Being a grad student on vacation kinda stinks. The kids I and were up for the adventure without him, so took the hike down to Pier 83. We joined about two hundred other tourists for an hour and a half cruise of the lower tip of Manhattan. The whole experience was great, but that last twenty minutes were spectacular. The sun setting behind the Statue of Liberty, and the light reflecting off the skyscrappers was mesmerizing. Marco met us upon our return and we found a diner for a late night supper. Day 1 in NYC totally rocked.
